Chiropractic care is a great way to keep you dog feeling good. Whether they have taken a tumble, jumped off the couch or out of the car a time too many, or simply are getting older, a chiropractic adjustment can mean the difference between a sore back and tight muscles or a limber pain free pup.
Many dogs that I see are presenting with back pain, restricted movement, uneven gaits, always needing to sit or lie down, or a sudden change in behavior, such as a new irritation or reaction to being touched, and not being able to stand "square".
Just like in a human body, when the spine is misaligned it causes impingement of the nerves throughout the body affecting how many of the body's systems function and causing a pain response. There is a direct correlation between misalignment in the vertebrae and everything from the nervous system, to the digestive system, to the reproductive system.
Getting your dog on a regular schedule for adjustments is a great way to keep him feeling his best, and help prevent other disorders later on. Every dog, no matter the age or breed will benefit from this type of therapy!
